Stephen Sondheim wrote the music and lyrics for Saturday Night, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Tony Award), Anyone Can Whistle, Company (Tony Award), Follies (Tony Award), A Little Night Music (Tony Award), The Frogs, Pacific Overtures, Sweeney Todd (Tony Award), Merrily We Roll Along, Into the Woods (Tony Award), Assassins, Passion (Tony Award), and Bounce, as well as lyrics for West Side Story, Gypsy, Do I Hear A Waltz?, and additional lyrics for Candide. Anthologies of his work include Side by Side by Sondheim, Marry Me a Little, You're Gonna Love Tomorrow, and Putting It Together. For films and television, he composed the scores of Stavinsky and Reds, songs for Dick Tracy and "Evening Primrose," and co-authored the film The Last of Sheila. He also won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1985 for Sunday in the Park with George.
